If you want to go high without getting out of breath, take one of the two cable cars in the region. They are in operation from the beginning of May until the end of October.

For all horse and pony lovers there are high-quality riding facilities with a comprehensive programme in the Achensee region. Riding lessons, carriage rides, personal riding and long lessons, accompanied rides and much more are possible.

Water sports
With a length of more than nine kilometres, Lake Achensee is the largest lake in Tyrol. Due to its unique topographical location, the lake offers excellent water and wind conditions for water sports of all kinds.
Climbing
One lake, 5 places and lots of climbing!
High above Lake Achensee, the Rofan Mountains offer a plateau on which some of Tyrol’s best climbing areas have established themselves. The area is fantastically beautiful and leaves impressions far beyond climbing.
Paragliding
Lake Achensee, surrounded by the Karwendel and Rofan mountains, is one of the most beautiful and best flying areas in Austria. Tirol’s Sport & Vital Park is a perfect destination for paragliding all year round.
Achensee Golf Club
The miniature golf course in Maurach with various obstacles at its courses is waiting for unerring “golfers”. A children’s playground, pool table, table football and darts alternate the offer. (open daily)
On the minigolf course in Pertisau you dive into the world of a mountain farming village. Twelve holes and various stroke shoes provide fun and variety for young and old. (open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11.30 to 20.00)
Achensee Adventure Park
In addition to a spectacular high ropes course, the Achensee Adventure Park in Tyrol offers a colourful and extensive spectrum of challenging but also “gentle” outdoor activities for all ages throughout the year.
Wusel-Seeweg
The lakeside path between Maurach and Achenkirch presents itself with a new highlight for the whole family. The Wusel-Seeweg, which consists of several game stations, does not let boredom arise and is even rewarded with a complete ascent.
Children and youth programme
From 24 June to 30 August 2019 there will be great adventures for the kids at the summer childcare from Monday to Friday. Three programme points are even for the whole family – the star hike on Monday, the Alpine Family Day on Wednesday and the night terrain game on Thursday.
